Please read these terms before using Amata. They apply to every visitor and every conversation.

1. These terms govern your use of Amata and form an agreement between you and the operator of this site.
2. By opening a conversation you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and legally able to accept these terms.
3. The companions presented here are invented characters generated by software. They are not real individuals and do not represent real individuals.
4. Conversations are provided for company, reflection, creative writing and entertainment only.
5. Nothing written by a companion is professional advice. Medical, legal, financial and psychological matters must be taken to a qualified professional.
6. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately rather than relying on this service.
7. You are responsible for the content you submit and for keeping your account credentials confidential.
8. You agree not to submit unlawful material, including any content involving minors, threats, harassment or the personal data of third parties.
9. You agree not to attempt to extract explicit material from a companion; conversations are designed to remain tasteful.
10. Automated scraping, bulk data extraction, reverse engineering and load testing of the service are not permitted.
11. Access may be suspended without notice where use breaches these terms or threatens the stability of the service.
12. Features, companions and pricing may change, be added or be withdrawn as the service develops.
13. Written text, portraits, names, layout and code on this site are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced without permission.
14. You retain rights in the text you write; you grant a limited licence to process and store it so the service can function.
15. Conversation output is generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete or inconsistent; it should not be relied on as fact.
16. Conversations are stored so they can continue between sessions, as described in the privacy policy.
17. You may request deletion of your conversations and account data at any time using the contact form.
18. The service is provided on an as-is basis with no warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
19. To the fullest extent permitted by law, liability for indirect, incidental or consequential loss is excluded.
20. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount paid for the service in the three months preceding the claim.
21. Third-party infrastructure providers may be used to deliver the service; their availability is outside our control.
22. Links to external sites are provided for convenience and imply no endorsement of their content.
23. You agree to indemnify the operator against claims arising from your misuse of the service.
24. These terms may be amended; the revised version takes effect when published on this page.
25. Continued use after an amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
26. If any clause is found unenforceable, the remaining clauses continue in full effect.
27. Failure to enforce a right does not amount to a waiver of that right.
