This policy explains what Amata collects and what happens to it. It is written to be read, not filed.
What is collected
An email address and password hash for your account, the text of conversations you choose to keep, and basic technical information such as approximate region, browser type and the times of your visits.
Why it is collected
Account details identify you. Conversation text exists so a thread can continue between sessions. Technical information is used to keep the service secure and to understand which parts of the site are used.
What is never done
Conversations are not published, not shown to other visitors, and not sold. Amata does not build advertising profiles from what you write.
Processors
Hosting, email delivery and language model providers process data on our behalf under contract, limited to what is necessary to deliver the service.
Retention
Conversations are kept while your account is open. Closed accounts and their conversation history are removed within thirty days. Aggregated, non-identifying statistics may be retained longer.
Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate details, or deletion of your account and conversations. Write through the contact page and the request will be confirmed in writing.
Cookies
A session cookie keeps you signed in. No third-party advertising cookies are set.
Children
Amata is for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. Accounts found to belong to minors are closed and their data deleted.
Changes
Material changes to this policy are published on this page with a new date.
